The sacred ox

http://elmundo.es/elmundo/2005/11/04/espana/1131073276.html

The unthinkable in any advanced "open society" can take place in
contemporary Spain.

Arnaldo Otegi, the spokesman for a progressive basque independentist
platform (Batasuna/Unity), was sentenced by the spanish supreme court to spend 1 year in jail
because of public statements in which he depicted the Almighty August King
Juan Carlos I as "boss of the torturers", in reference to the excruciating
abuse commited by the spanish "security forces" against basque political
detainees.

Yes, dear friends, the Kingdom of Spain is supposed to be a parliamentary
democracy, it's a full member of the EU, subscribes countless
international protocols on human rights, many forefront bills have been
passed lately, we are in the 21st century, Franco died 30 years ago... but
still, some issues remain either a taboo or sacred.

After such incident, i strongly encourage the spaniards to avoid even the
slightest mention to His Name and/or Divine Grace.
If you wanna save your ass, it'd be safer to follow the orthodox jewish dogma which bans any
direct invocation of Adonai (God, aka G-d).

Simply dreadful and outrageous.
